"Lullaby" to Start Filming as Soon as Wednesday

The news is in.  "Lullaby" may start into production as soon as Wednesday.  The script is mostly done and should be completed by then.  If you want a role or someone you know would like a role in the film, let us know soon.  More people are welcome.  Also, if you've got a spare 2 Gig+ SD memory card, you'd be willing to bring for on-location filming, we'd be much appreciative.  Let us know if you want to help.

The "Original" Lullaby Trailer

This is the original "Lullaby" trailer made over five years ago.  Here, we have the footage that started it all.  Extra special thanks to Mike Later for taking our crappy footage and making it into a good-looking trailer.  The music used may be reused in the "Lullaby" remake.  You'll notice a lot of the plot for the new "Lullaby" is very similar to the old one.

The music is from Akira Yamaoka and Sony.  I do not own the rights.

Let us know what you think.  What do you expect us to do differently with this new film that we didn't do here?  Anything you liked from the original footage?

"Lullaby" Storyline Revealed!

OK.  I've been putting off revealing the storyline for a bit now.  Mostly because I wanted to know exactly what I wanted to do before I revealed it.  I'm sure those of you participating in the upcoming project "Lullaby" are a bit interested to see what kind of a film you're going to be in.  As the film gets closer to shooting time and my script nears completion, I will reveal a more detailed plot to those of you involved.  Without further ado, here's the story of "Lullaby."

Brian and Jacob Calder are brothers living together since the demise of their parents a year and a half ago.  Brian acts as the caretaker, while Jacob is still recovering from his post traumatic stress disorder, spurred on by being forced to watch the murder of his parents.  The family appears stable minus the occasional hallucinatory episodes Jacob has to endure.  They live together in a small secluded town on the outskirts of human civilization.

One night, upon waking up to Jacob's screaming, Brian rushes downstairs to find his brother missing and that he is bolted into his own house.  Incidentally, his house, unlike before, is rotting and stained with rust and mildew.  Strange humanoid creatures have taken residence in his basement.  In order to find his brother, Brian must escape and survive.

Hope you enjoyed the plot brief.  As I said before, there should be a script coming out in the not-too-far-distant future as well as casting calls.

Anyone want to be a part of the upcoming "Lullaby" film?  Have any opinions?  Speculation?  Let us know what you think.

"Reversing Retribution" and a Noteworthy Blog

Jake Smiley's "Reversing Retribution" to come out in 2011
OK.  So, a couple days ago I had an idea pitched to me by Jake Smiley, author of the website never-fall-writing.  I highly recommend checking it out and bookmarking it.

He's a fairly distinguished writer and author.  I've had the chance to review some of his work and I must say it was quite good and thought-provoking.  As I mentioned earlier, a couple days ago, he came to me with a pitch for a movie (based on an original story he was writing).  I thought I'd take the time to spotlight it and give you a sneak peek at his idea.

Jake tells the thrilling tale following a man and his internal struggles with vengeance.  After watching his wife murdered, he ruthlessly pursues the perpetrator to satisfy his vengeance.  In a crime of passion, his wife's attacker is left dead.  What happens next is perplexing as much as it is dark and cryptic.  He wakes up the next day, with the crime undone, and a second chance to restore his life again.

Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming production as well as the book itself (soon to be completed, I'm told.)

Tell us what you think of Jake's new story.  Is there anything you hope to see?  Any questions you'd like to forward to Jake?  Let us know.
